How To Add Images to Email Steps
Images can easily be added to Email Steps in QuickMail.
There are 2 possible ways to add an image to your emails:
1. Directly adding an image from your computer.
2. Embedding an image using a direct link.
Most of the popular image formats are supported: .jpeg, .gif, .svg, .png, etc..
Directly adding an image from your computer
While creating or editing your email step, use the Insert Image button in the editor
-> navigate to the location of the image file on your computer -> select/open the file.
The image will then be added to the email step.
Embedding an image from a URL
To embed an image to your email, the image should be hosted on another file host (like your own website).
A direct URL to the image is needed to embed the image. Example of a direct URL/link to an image: https://imgix.cosmicjs.com/48c19bc0-e495-11eb-aaa7-f94d35ca882e-man-gesturing-in-business-meeting.jpg
Click the "IMG" button on the email editor toolbar -> you will be prompted to add the image URL.
Hyperlinking images
Once an image has been added to the email body, you can highlight the image and link it to another URL.
That transforms the image into a clickable image.
Adding customized images using custom attributes
Inserting images using a custom attribute allows you to send customized images to your prospects depending on their custom attribute value.

Once a custom attribute has been created, you can import prospects with their custom image URL values and map the values to the custom attribute.
Here's an example sheet:
For this example, I created a custom attribute "cstmimg" and mapped it to the same cstmimg header.
Once the prospects have been imported, you can insert the custom attribute as the URL value.
When this email is sent out, the prospect will get whichever image is associated with the custom attribute value.
You can also truncate the custom attribute value if you're using a single file host (like Wikimedia).
Example:
If you have the following example image URLs:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e9/Persian_sand_CAT.jpg
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/54/Caracal_Caracal-001.jpg
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/71/Florida_Bobcat.jpg
You can just use:
"5/54/Caracal_Caracal-001.jpg"
"7/71/Florida_Bobcat.jpg"
as the custom attribute values and
use "https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/{{prospect.custom.cstimg}}" as the IMG url.
