Spam Eating Monkey (SEM) Blacklist

Spam Eating Monkey (SEM) Blacklist

What is SEM blacklist?

New domains often get listed in Spam Eating Monkey's blacklists even if they are not in use. However, they will automatically be removed after some time.

How does it affect my domain?

SEM Fresh blacklist doesn’t necessarily impact your domain’s overall reputation or ability to be used.

Many domains listed there can still be successfully warmed up and used for sending emails.

We’ve seen this from users who also bought domains from other providers.

Is this because I bought the domain from QuickMail?

This type of blacklisting is unfortunately common and can happen to newly registered domains regardless of where they were purchased.

It’s not unique to QuickMail, and it’s part of a broader protocol affecting many .com domains.

What can I do to my domain now?

You can continue using the domains and ignore the blacklists, since the blacklist doesn't have a bearing on sender reputation.

When sending from the domain, make sure to still follow up best practices such as the warm up process and avoiding a sudden spike in the email volume, among others.

When will it expire?

According to SEM fresh, the blacklist can take from 5-30 days before it expires and this can't be expedited.
